The Team
We exist to help people become who they were created to be.

The Aussie Mission team consists of the Mullins, Griffith, and Whaley families. The three families met while training for ministry at the Harding University Graduate School of Religion (HUGSR). The team has been in process since February of 2005 when the Whaley and Griffith families committed to a relationship with the possibility of forming a mission team. In September 2005, the two families formally committed to work together in Australia. The Mullins family began meeting with the team in 2006 and formally committed to the mission in January 2007. The team plans to move to Wollongong, Australia in the summer of 2008.
In preparation for the mission to Wollongong, the team has:
- Taken two survey trips (Summer 2005, Summer 2006)
- Trained at a one week intensive strategy lab conducted by Kairos Church Planting
- Taken numerous graduate classes in theology, ministry, and missions at HUGSR
- Received mentoring from several former missionaries
We also have partnered with Mission Resource Network (MRN) in order to prepare for the mission field. We are extremely excited about the knowledge and services they bring to our team. MRN is a nonprofit organization that equips missionaries and mission teams with the tools they need in order to achieve the best work for God’s service. With their help and the many resources we have had at HUGSR, we feel like we have gained a wide breadth of knowledge to prepare us for Australia.
